A Vernal Equinox Challenge

Okay, First I must thank Melanie for all of her time. She was been doing all of the work for the IMT, loading all of the links and images, and going through the piles of emails....While I have been trying to get somewhat organized...Thank you, thank you, Melanie!
For this weeks challenge we are going to celebrate SPRING and Nature! Create a piece of art using pieces of nature or thoughts of nature in your work. Go outside, talk a walk, pick up pieces of spring or remnants of the past seasons, bring them home with your collected thoughts and create.

the first signs of spring on France are: Cherry and almond tree blossoms, strawberries at the market, red poppies and unbuttoned coats!

Hi, I live in a country where there's only one season all year round, so my contribution isn't what you might know as 'Spring'. Still, it's related to nature and blooming of life etc. I've called it, Green Plant. Comments/ critique are welcome.

I've joined in the Vernal Equinox challenge with this new watercolor:

Embrace Peace

These next links are from a few weeks ago, since spring comes early in California, so they don't count for the challenge. But I thought you might enjoy them anyway.

Finally got this one done. It took me about 18 hours of work total. Lots of building of layers. Hope you like it.

This is my first week participating in this. It looked like fun so I thought I'd give it a go. On the banks of the Campus Pond.

Here is my contribution for the week.

I followed the guidelines exactly, even including bringing peices of spring into my studio and creating with them. *laugh*

The painting is representative of the result of the creation, but only secondary to what this theme caused me to create. *grin*

This challenge was really fun!
