March Challenge #2
Now that we have put our sense to the test let's see what we can do when we take them away...
This weeks challenge is to create a piece of art without using your senses.
How???
Vision ~ Sight ~
We all have visions of the artist we are or wish to be...Let those visions go for now. Try working with your eyes closed. Try it, you will be surprised at how much fun it can be... It's a whole new perspective.
Feel-ings ~ touch ~
Let yourself go, don't let yourself get caught up in the feelings of your work or what you want from the outcome. Give yourself complete freedom to create art without expectations.
Hear ~listen~|
Don't listen to your inner critic. Forget about your conscience telling you to fold the laundry...Keep it quiet, no distractions.
Tastes ~ taste~
Everyone has tastes that define who we are...Let these go. Try using a color you might not gravitate to normally. Try a new style. Try a whole new medium.
Smell
Don't tune into any smells. Let it all go. Be creatively senseless!
Remember...
- You must create a new piece of art for this challenge, no old work please!
- You have until next Wednesday to post your interpretation of this challenge on your blog.
- We will feature several entries for this challenge throughout the week.
- The next challenge will be announced next Thursday.
- If you have any questions or suggestions, email us or leave a comment.
- New participants are always welcome!

I think this is such a great assignment, to create a work with out using senses, especially eyesight. I cannot wait to see everyone's projects!
This is probably my personal record in getting things done. As soon as I read about the challenge I knew what I wanted to do.

sorry I put this in the wrong comments section
I did not notice before that they needed to be new pieces (my bad); this one is recent.
I thought I would go with to not use one's senses would to not be awake.

my girls picked out the paint, colours, brushes..i tried not to peek during the process.
This was oddly overwhelming. But, I was able to create senseless art, without the use of any one of my senses. HA!
It turned into more fun then I expected. Thanks for the inspiration.
