New Challenge :: A Series of Art
Sorry we bailed on you last week without warning! We were away at Artfest, an annual artists' retreat organized by Teesha and Tracy Moore. If you ever have the chance to go to a venue like this, we highly recommend it! It is a great way to connect with like-minded people and recharge your creativity!
There are many, many comments and emails we still need to read through, so while we try to catch up and recover, we give to you a new challenge. So without further ado...
This week we challenge you to create a series of art -- more than one piece of art that together makes a whole work of art. So have fun and be creative!
How To Participate
- Create a new piece of art (no old work please) inspired by the current week's challenge.
- Post your interpretation of the current challenge on your blog.
- Leave a comment here to let us know your artwork has been posted. It would be extremely helpful if you could include the direct link to your creation and the name which you prefer to be listed (i.e. WhateverBlog, http://yourdomain.com/yourart.html).
Remember...
- You have one week to create and post your artwork on your blog and give us the link.
- A new tutorial related to the current challenge will be posted every weekend.
- We will spotlight several entries for the current week's challenge throughout the week.
- If you have a Flickr account, please join the group and add your Inspire Me Thursday photos!
- The next challenge will be announced the following Thursday.
- If you have any questions or suggestions, email us or leave a comment.
- New participants are always welcome!

Misty, your article inspired me to do a textured background for collage that I read and reread in Cloth, Paper, Scissors. I love your art and was happy to learn how you did it. I hope you find imitation a form of flattery. Well, sort of.http://artistinprogress.blogspot.com Carol M.
This was really inspiring.

This week's challenge was really perfect...I've been mulling over a series of three large paintings I want to do that are inspired by James Wright's poem, A Blessing. I've been sketching ideas on scraps of paper, but decided to just do three small acrylic studies first in order to try some color ideas. I've only managed to get one rough little painting and one pencil sketch done , but I thought I'd put them up now. Hopefully I will finish the three studies within the next few days.
Thanks Misty & Melanie for another really cool challenge...you gals are the best!

What a fun challenge! I wish I had time this week to really dig my hands in something...but, since I couldn't, I created something a bit different! Have a look, please!
